色々と書いてあるんですが、それを読んで幾つか感じたことを。

まずはこちら。

This new release will build on the work we did in Windows XP SP2 and (among other things) go further to defend users from phishing as well as deceptive or malicious software.

そっち方面だけなんですか。
タブ方面とか、CSS方面、RSS方面とかも予定なしですか。
だったらこんなの、IE6.5 でいーんじゃない？

Because we listened to customers, analysts, and business partners. We heard a clear message: “Yes, XP SP2 makes the situation better. We want more, sooner. We want security on top of the compatibility and extensibility IE gives us, and we want it on XP. Microsoft, show us your commitment.”

なんだかなぁ。
そんな意見ばっかりだったのか？
そりゃまあ、言いづらい事は記事にしないわな。

こんなこと言ってるようじゃ、ここは取り巻きばかりが集う場所なのかな。
中の人が頑張ろうが片手間でやろうが興味ないわけで、重要なのは出てきた製品のクオリティだけなんですけど。
それからこれは私の推測ですが、
"the hundreds of millions of IE users around the world"
と言うよりか、
"the hundreds of millions of IE-installed-computer users around the world"
じゃないだろうか実際。
他のブラウザがどんどんシェアを伸ばしてる訳で、もうとっくにそちらへ乗り換えて、「抜くのはひと苦労だから入ったまま使ってるよWindowsUpdateの時以外は起動しないけどね」という人、増えてるんじゃないかな特に個人レベルでは。

人気RPGとMSのリリース時期は予定変更があたりまえというのが常識でしたが、はたして今回はどうでしょうね。
